After stealing the spotlights for a while with its unorthodox BlackBerry Passport handset, the Canada-based smartphone maker has most probably explored the possibility to offer a refreshed follow-up to the smartphone.
BlackBerry Central got hold of a BlackBerry device dubbed "Oslo" and it is speculated that it will arrive with mostly the same internals as its predecessor, namely a Snapdragon 800 SoC, an LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels, as well as a 13MP camera with OIS and a 3,450mAh battery at the rear.
According to the hearsay, the device might get officially announced on June 30 and is said to be aimed at the global market. Word on the street is that the BlackBerry Oslo has been unveiled to a select audience and in utmost secrecy at last month's MWC event in Barcelona.
We have A LOT more to share - but for today, enjoy the early information. A timeline, and HD renderings are on the way.
Update: The device is apparently not meant specifically for the China market - and is supposed to launch as a Globally available device.Note: Keep in mind that things do change, and early information and visuals are subject to revision and cancellation.
