If ever is a time when the wallet strings are loosened, it is during the festive season. While there is unavoidable more spending because of activities such as travel, get-together and parties, and gift-giving, it should not be a license to over-spending.
Spend in haste and repay at leisure, as the old adage goes, really applies during the festive season.
